We invite presenters to submit an abstract of their original work, using the following guidelines (used by the Society of Critical Care Medicine for their journal, Critical Care Medicine):

Abstracts should be no more than 300 words in length (excluding headings), and must include the following headings in this order: Objective, Design, Setting, Patients (for Clinical Investigations) or Subjects (for Laboratory Investigations), Interventions, Measurements and Main Results, and Conclusions. For details regarding the preparation of structured abstracts, we refer you to the American Medical Association Manual of Style, Tenth Edition (p. 20-23).
